How it works:
Solar panels generate electricity from sunlight and supply it to your home or business. The electricity you don’t use is automatically sent to the main grid.
Net metering:
When your solar panels produce more power than you need, the excess goes to the grid, and you earn credits from your electricity provider. When you use more power than your panels generate (like at night), you draw electricity from the grid.
